Today

Craig was gone all day until dinner time so I had a fun day alone with Alisa. She was really happy and did not spit up very much (it was so nice not to repeatedly soak up puddles of spitup from the carpet or floor blankets!). Alisa had a blast sharing her toys with Minga--she would hold a toy over by Minga's head and Minga would nudge it with her nose. Alisa would giggle, wave the toy around and giggle some more when Minga nudged it again as it came by her head again.

Alisa did lots of exploring today. She crawled all around the living room and ventured behind the rocking chair and beyond. She also crawled all over me and across my legs when I was on the floor. She is already becoming quite proficient at pulling herself up to a kneeling and then standing position at the coffee table, ottoman and in her crib.

I have been making baby food for her and so far she likes it all (avocados, bananas, sweet potatoes, peas, pears, mangos). I introduce a new food every 3-4 days to make sure she doesn't have any allergic reactions. Squash will be the next food she tries.

She is more and more fun every day and I just can't get enough of her! Her personality is really starting to show and it's fantastic.

I need to go to bed now. I just wanted to finally get things started here! Here is a picture of her that I took today while she was making happy sniffing noises and sucking on her fingers:
