Nap

I hosted the monthly playgroup today (more on that in the next post). After the playgroup, we all were exhausted. Craig put Alisa to bed and I quickly cleaned things up (put the food away, gathered up all the toys that had been scattered, etc.) and then uploaded the pics I had taken to a group site that we moms use to share pics. I hoped to get a nap but was so sure Alisa was going to wake up any minute because she had been sleeping for an hour already. Craig had taken a nap right after he put Alisa down and then he woke up and went to the store. Before he left he said with confidence, "You should take a nap because Alisa will sleep for at least 20 more minutes." I didn't believe him because she doesn't usually nap for more than an hour, but I layed down on the couch anyway, hoping he was right. As soon as I did, she let out a loud cry. Oh no! I decided to get comfy anyway and at least shut my eyes for 3 minutes...if she kept crying I would go get her in a bit. She was quiet right away and ended up sleeping more so I got a nice 30 minute nap. That meant Alisa ended up sleeping for 2 hours! She was so good to let her Momma get some rest. Hooray!
