Chick Pics

A few weeks ago I took Alisa to have some professional "Chick Pics" taken. It is an annual special event by local photographer Cindy Strickland and she waived the sitting fee. She is the one who came to the breastfeeding support group and took pictures of the babies for Father's Day (when Alisa was 2 months old).

Craig was going to come with us to help make Alisa smile, but he ended up being sick on that day and couldn't come. Alisa had fallen asleep in the car on the way there and I had to wake her up because it was time for our appointment and Cindy was on a tight schedule. This attributed to her being a little more fussy at first with meeting Cindy and a little clingy with me.

She didn't smile for any of the pics, but towards the end of the 15-minute session she was finally warming up and talking a lot. If only we had more time we would have gotten her to smile for the camera! Because she was sitting on a bench I had to stay very near to catch her if she wiggled too much and started to fall. Cindy is very safety-conscious, which is good but that meant I couldn't stand more in front of Alisa to do really silly things to get her to smile and still be looking in the right direction for a picture. Oh well, they are still cute pics. At least Alisa liked the live chicks (some babies are afraid of them so Cindy has to use fake ones). It was a lovely setup outside.

I love these. She is too cute, and looks so grown :) She seemed to really take to the live birds, maybe she needs a pet!!
