It's funny when you say to Alisa "go get it" or "get the ball" because Minga knows those phrases too so if she is near, she will look around for a treat or her ball, not realizing we are only talking to Alisa.
Recently, Alisa has spent a lot of time talking to Minga and just sitting or lying on or close to her and watching her or trying to touch parts of her face. It's so cute. They will certainly be best friends. She gets excited when Minga enters the room or even when she hears the jingle of Minga's collar tags in another room because she knows Minga is on the move, probably in her direction.
These 3 pictures are from this week:

It's been good for Alisa to have Minga around. She is not scared of large dogs. She loves dogs in general so I am always pointing them out to her when I see them (live ones or pictures of them). She really enjoys the Sandra Boynton book we have called "Doggies" because there are many drawings of dogs and the different barking sounds they make.
Alisa gets a kick out of chasing Minga while pushing her walker toy because Minga is scared of it and runs around like crazy. Alisa laughs hard at that. She also laughs when Minga is playing outside in the hose (when we are spraying all the dirt off her so she can come inside). Minga chases the water stream, jumps high to catch it in her mouth and makes snorting noises. Good times.
