Last night was the first night I heard Alisa laughing and talking in bed for a long time before she fell asleep. It was about half an hour after I put her down so the room was dark because the sounds and lights on the crib waterfall soother go out after 18 minutes (unless the button is pushed again, which it was not). I could hear the jingle of the toys on the crib mirror as she kicked them. I wonder what she was thinking about.
I wanted her to fall asleep quickly so she wouldn't sleep in too late and miss the Friday morning music playgroup (this was her 1st time in the group for 12 to 18-month-olds, which is at an earlier time). She ended up waking earlier than normal so we made it to class on time. 15 minutes after class, she had her assessment where they video her playing with toys for 15 minutes. She was really tired by the end of it all because she had woken up early and therefore needed to take a nap earlier.

ohh how did she like the big girl play group?
The next older group seemed pretty much the same as the younger group...they sing some different songs but still pass out the same instruments, puppets, scarves, mirrors, etc.
Actually, now that I think about it, it was different in that they have the kids walk around during some songs. Alisa doesn't walk much yet but she will get there faster if she sees other kids do it. She actually waved a lot during the hello song though, which was an improvement for her.
