Alisa has always been fascinated with my cell phone. When she was much younger, she didn't know how to open my flip phone, but she could push the few buttons on the outside for playing MP3s and she liked the beeps it made. Once she figured out how to open the phone, I tried to keep it away from her. Eventually, I gave in and let her play with it, but I had to watch her closely and constantly hit the END button so she didn't make any calls. It took me a few months to remember that I could enable keyguard on my phone so Alisa couldn't make any calls. Once I did that, I could let her hold the phone with no problem and it would still beep when she pushed buttons and the screen would change so she was happy.
Recently, she started requesting that I talk on my cell phone. She'll talk for awhile (usually holding the phone with the speakers facing out instead of in) and then hand the phone to me. She gets upset if I put it down without talking or if I put it down before she thinks I've talked long enough. So, I talk for awhile and then hand the phone to her and tell her it's her turn. She doesn't want it though and she keeps requesting that I talk more on it. It's odd that she sometimes cries that I'm not talking on the phone because before she'd cry if SHE couldn't hold the phone.
She sometimes holds the phone up to Minga's ear and I think that's so funny:

I love how she is so serious when pushing the buttons!
