Today, Alisa has been pointing to things she's not allowed to touch (bowl of dog food, DVD player) and saying "No!" emphatically. Sometimes she stands and stares at the object and then points and says "No No Nooo." Before today, when we'd say "No" she would back away and go do something else. She's either contemplating touching the forbidden item and then reminding herself that she's not supposed to, or she's showing us that she knows she's not supposed to touch it.
For some reason, when we say no to touching my laptop she doesn't listen well. She's so attracted to it and often laughs when I say no as if we are playing a game. Not sure why she thinks it's okay to touch it since she has never been allowed to before.
She cries at other times when we say no, like when she wants something to eat or wants to hold our cell phones. She doesn't cry when we tell her not to touch the DVD player and items like that though. Curious.

Hmm Hayden is learning no too. She also seems to think it is a game especially with the cats food.
Funny how kids are!
