Using the Spoon

During the past 3 days, Alisa has been feeding herself lots of food out of a bowl with a spoon. It takes her longer to eat and she gets pretty messy, but she REALLY enjoys it. She has even used the spoon to scrape the food off the side of her face where her tongue could not reach and put that into her mouth with the spoon--most impressive!

I bought her some new bowls since she now insists on holding the bowl herself and we only had a few small kid-friendly bowls. She doesn't even like it anymore when I put my hand on the bowl to steady it. She was excited to see the new purple bowl with fish all over it (you can't see it in these pictures because you have to look closely as the fish are purple too--they are textured).
