Soap

Alisa loves soap. When she sees a picture of soap she pretends to wash her hands, feet, face, etc over and over again. She says "Wash hands. Wash feet." and so on while doing so. She did this most of the time we were waiting at the pediatrician's office on Wednesday after seeing a picture of a liquid soap dispenser. She would not let me turn to another page--she wanted to see the picture of the soap at all times! She asks me for soap ("More soap.") so she can wash her bath toys (currently doggies and a cow) too. I usually just pretend to squirt some soap on her bath toys and she doesn't seem to notice that there is not actually any soap on them. So far, she has no experience with bar soap, only liquid soap.

She also now pretends to put on pants, socks, shoes, etc when she sees them in books. She also REALLY likes to pretend to eat food. Often, I turn the page past the food page in a book and she turns right back to the food page and pretends to pluck it from the page and eat it again. If I try to turn the page again, she won't let me. It's quite funny.

How cute! I just love when babies do things like that!
