Red Means Stop

This week, Alisa kept shouting "Ride! Ride!" when we were waiting at a stoplight because she wanted to keep moving. So, we taught her that a red light means stop, a yellow light means slow down and a green light means go. Now when she says, "Ride!" we tell her it's a red light (she often can't see the light from her seat) and she goes through the spiel about what each color means. When we were in Oregon, her cousins kept quizzing her on what each color meant. One day she kept mixing up what red and green meant. Another day she got upset because she really wanted to see a yellow light but it was never yellow.
