Cr = P

Alisa cannot say the "cr" in words such as Craig, creamy, cracker, crying...she puts a "p" in place of the "cr". We were eating pudding just now and I was talking about how cold and creamy the fudge pudding was. Alisa enjoyed her pudding and kept saying how creamy it was, only it sounded like "peamy". She just kept saying it over and over and I just started laughing. I got to laughing so hard that I was crying. I just love her cute little voice and some of the funny pronunciations she currently has!!

We started to teach her what our real names are (Craig and Renee). She said "Peg" for Craig and actually said "Renee" for Renee. I think she just said "Nay" the first time but the other day (her 2nd attempt, I believe) she correctly said my name, which is VERY unusual for a young child (because R's are difficult). She nows asks about other names (animals, people and even inanimate objects) and will even ask, "What's Alisa's name?" to which we reply "Alisa."

She likes to announce when she is crying. Last Thursday she said, "I crying. I crying. I got the tears." It's kinda funny and a relief because she's definitely not crying too hard if she is stating that she is crying.
