Improvements

In early June, I posted that Alisa did not like to listen to songs by female artists. Well, I'm happy to say that she's fine with them now. Nothing in particular happened, she just likes them now.

I'm happy to report that Alisa doesn't cry at bedtime anymore when I walk out of the room. There were a few months where she cried hard as soon as I left--it was usually brief, but still unpleasant.

Also, she doesn't want me to tickle her back anymore before bedtime. That started when she had a fever, which is understandable, but I thought she'd go back to normal afterwards. Not having to tickle her back for several minutes before leaving the room makes the bedtime routine a little shorter and easier for me (it was getting hard to lean over the crib railing to reach her back with my ever-growing pregnant belly getting in the way). Don't get me wrong, I do like gently tickling her back, but having to do it every time before naps and bedtime gets old.
