I finally remembered to buy a roll of paper and tape some to the coffee table for Alisa to draw on. I got the idea from my friend Lisa and was reminded of it when I saw my friend Cody had done the same thing for her son. I also bought Alisa some little markers (washable Crayola Pip-Squeaks) and they are so cute. She really loves them.
I taught Alisa how to quickly clean her fingers if she gets marker on them. I told her to lick a clean finger and rub it on a dirty finger. She thought that was so cool:

The next day she discovered she could put the lids on her fingers (when she did that she said she was a kitty):
