Rosco P Coltrane, the Terrier

Alisa made another animal at the Build-A-Bear Workshop back in August. She choose a Jack Russell Terrier, along with it's matching baby terrier. She couldn't think of a name so I was saying random names and asking if she liked them. She liked the name Roscoe so that's what we put on the birth certificate. After we got home, I realized she couldn't even say "Roscoe" properly. She switched the "s" and the "c" so it sounded like "Rockso." She still wanted to name him that though.

After we told Daddy the dog's name he immediately said "Sheriff Rosco P Coltrane" (from the old TV show "The Dukes of Hazzard"). I hadn't even thought of him when I first blurted out the name "Roscoe". Anyway, Alisa liked the full name "Rosco P Coltrane" even though she couldn't pronounce that either. At first she'd just call the dog "Rockso" but now she often refers to him as "Rockso Peecolpain" (that's how it sounds to us). Hilarious!

Here she is in August giving her freshly stuffed dogs a pretend bath:

Her new dogs watch her eat a cookie at the mall:

Since we named the big dog Roscoe, she calls the little dog Baby Roscoe:

A really cool feature of this pair is that the big dog can carry the little dog in it's mouth via a magnet in the big dog's mouth and the little dog's scarf:
