This Week

Alisa took off her pants 2 more times this week while still in her crib in the morning (before I went in her room). The plus side to it is that she is getting closer to the potty training age (since one of the signs of readiness is that she can take her pants off and put them back on).

After playing for awhile in her crib in the morning, she starts calling for me because I'm usually the one to get her up. However, one Friday morning she called for "dada" because he was the one who got her up the day before. First she whispered dada and then called louder. It was so precious and I wish he had been awake to hear it.

She ate 2 full containers of yogurt (4 oz baby size) for breakfast twice this week (in addition to the usual oatmeal and banana). After she ate one container and asked for more, I asked her if she wanted a banana or applesauce or bread instead. She said "no" and pointed to her bowl and asked for more (meaning yogurt, since that is what was in her bowl last). After she ate the 2nd container, she asked for a banana. Hungry girl!

She says "bowl" now when she wants me to put food in her bowl instead of directly on her highchair tray. She says "thank you" quite often now after I hand her something or give her food.

She said "you" a lot this morning. She picked up a clump of oatmeal in her hand and held it up for me to eat it. I said "YOU eat it" and she laughed and put it in her mouth. This went on for awhile, with her saying "you" here and there.

She says "ha" or "hi" for yes while nodding her head (she's been doing that for awhile now). She knows how to say "yes" because she's repeated it after me many times, but she doesn't say it when I ask her yes or no questions.

She's always used her feet a lot to do stuff and she's loves standing on things (toys, plates, buckets, books, tables, chairs, couches, beds, etc). Recently, she lifted the flaps on her lift-the-flap books with her feet. So clever!
