Grandmom and Grandad Visit for an Early Christmas

Grandmom and Grandad visited us from Tulsa December 13-17 for an early Christmas celebration. We went to a Christmas tree farm to pick a tree, decorated the tree, saw the Christmas lights at Dorothy B. Oven Park (click here for pictures of that), exchanged gifts and ate our traditional Christmas morning breakfast. We also had a picnic lunch at Lake Ella and went to the Build-A-Bear Workshop.

Reading with Grandmom:

Wearing Grandmom's shoes (she puts on other people's shoes whenever she can):

At the Havana Christmas Tree Farm:

Watching Daddy string lights on the tree we chose (it looks small here, but was actually the perfect size):

Alisa putting ornaments on the tree for the 1st time (she didn't quite know how to hang them and she piled at least 6 on the same branch):

We had a picnic lunch at Lake Ella and then walked around:

Picking up flower petals at Lake Ella:

Alisa passed out presents to all of us during our early celebration:

Opening Christmas presents from Grandmom and Grandad (she got a lot of fake food which she promptly pretended to eat):

She loved the shopping cart they gave her (it was the perfect complement for all the food she got):

Letter magnets!--another excellent gift from Grandmom and Grandad:

Sorting, alphabetizing and naming all the letter magnets with Grandad (yep, she knows all her letters):

Alisa finally warmed up to Grandad and actually hugged him without being asked for a long time (the highlight of his trip!):
