Alisa sang the ABC song all the way to Borders last night and kept wanting me to sing with her. She was singing her heart out and it was too cute. She doesn't sing all the letters correctly but she gets the tune for the most part. She kept starting to sing the last part "now I know my ABCs..." before we had said all the letters so then when I finally got to that final part, she really belted it out with me. After we sang it through, she'd start again with a few letters then say "dada" but then pause to correct herself with "mama" (I was the only one in the car with her) so that I'd sing it again with her. She did that every time....she did not want to sing alone. It made me laugh.
On the way home, she enthusiastically shouted the colors as the Baby Einstein Move & Go Music Mirror lit up in the car. I think she's been shouting the colors in the car like that instead of simply speaking them because she's more confident as she gets them correct now. It is so precious. I'm so proud of her. She knows all the letter names and sounds, a handful of numbers (and can often say what number comes next if you start counting to 15) and all the main colors and she's only 20 months old.
