Up On Mommy
Alisa used to say "Up up!" while lifting her arms when she wanted us to pick her up. Suddenly she changed to saying "Up on Mommy!" or "Up on Daddy!" Usually when I get her out of her highchair after a meal, I put her on the floor so she can go and play while I wash the tray, bib and washcloth. Sometimes she doesn't want me to put her down right away so she lifts her legs to avoid standing. So, I just set her on her bottom and she frantically says "Up on Mommy! Up on Mommy!" while holding onto me. I pry her off of me and walk to the sink to wash the stuff. She cries for a bit and often chases me and grabs onto my legs while continuing her pleas. I never know if she's going to be clinging or happily run off and play.
