She Threw a Fit

Alisa threw a fit today. Nana, Alisa and I went outside to get in the car and drive to the library for storytime. Well, Alisa wanted to walk outside at home but we didn't have time because we were running late. I told her we were going to the library to sing and dance but she didn't care this time. She was crying, pointing up the driveway and saying "Walk outsiiiiide!" I put her in her carseat and she arched her back so I couldn't strap her in her seat. Usually she gives up quickly, but this time it was a long struggle to get her seated and buckled in. The few times that she's still crying after I've buckled her in, she stops as soon as I start driving. Well, this time she kept crying--mad, loud crying that made her cough--for more than 5 minutes straight. We were almost to the library when she finally stopped.

Of course she was totally fine and happy at the library. She enthusiastically sang and danced to the songs (we hadn't been in awhile so it was more exciting for her) and ran around at the back of the room. After storytime, Alisa colored a picture and then played on the beanbags up in the loft.
