Sing Faster

Alisa's been waking up just before 7 AM the past 2 days. That is VERY rare for her, as she usually wakes up after 8:15 AM. Yesterday she cried awhile, then was quiet for a bit. Then she cried again and didn't stop crying and calling for me so I went upstairs to see what was wrong. She wanted me to hold her and she wanted to go downstairs. I told her we should snuggle on the big bed for awhile. We did and she wanted the music on, so I turned it on and tickled her back, hoping she'd go back to sleep. She looked sleepy for a few minutes but then perked up and would not go back to sleep. After half an hour, I told her I was going to put her in her bed while I went to take a shower. I thought she'd protest but she surprised me by not doing so. I have Nana to thank for that because when she was visiting, she slept in Alisa's room and Alisa got used to her taking a shower before getting her out of bed.

This morning, she woke up just before 7 AM but was happy and started singing songs right away. I was still in bed and I wanted to sleep for 10-15 more minutes. As I tried to fall back asleep, I heard Alisa sing the Hello song that we learned in music class over a year ago. Then she said "Faster!" and sang it again, only faster. She did that one more time and I couldn't help but smile. She got the "faster" idea from library story time because there are a few songs that we sing slow, then fast, then faster. She loves fast songs and dances like crazy during them.
