Fever and Avoiding the Stairs

Alisa has had a fever since Wednesday. It's been going up and down--it got down to 99 degrees today and we thought she was going to be done with it very soon but then it spiked up to 104.3 just before bedtime! I got really upset and couldn't help but cry with worry because she said she was dizzy when I was putting her pajamas on. Other than that quick dizzy spell, though, she's been in pretty good spirits. She's been drinking a lot, eating a little, walking around, and playing all sorts of things. She's been wanting to cuddle a lot and have one of us play with her. She has not wanted to walk down the stairs by herself though ever since she got a fever. Who would blame her though, as she's weaker than normal?

I really really hope her fever breaks tonight and that she's fine tomorrow. If not, I will call the doctor. She had a fever for less than 24 hours last Saturday while we were driving home from Oklahoma so this 2nd fever is difficult as it came so close and is lasting so long. I have no idea why she got a fever last weekend and just thought it might be a teething thing since it was so brief and there were no other symptoms (the thermometer was buried in our luggage so we didn't check her temperature, we just knew she was really warm). I haven't really seen any new teeth though, but since they are her 2-year molars, it's hard to see way in the back of her mouth.

Poor Alisa, I hope she feels better soon! Fevers suck. :(
