Alisa likes to pretend a lot these days. It is so neat to watch her. She pretends to pick flowers and fruit from books and invisible trees or even letters from signs at a restaurant and give them to us. She pretends to take our noses or hair or arms or any other body parts...and when we play along by protesting, she gives them back. She pretends to go shopping a lot too. She'll say, "Bye bye! I'm going shopping. I'll be back in a li'l bit."
She often pretends to be an animal (especially a dog, cat, turtle, horse, frog). She spends a lot of time galloping around the house like a horse. Yesterday she turned her soft chair on it's side, curled up next to it and informed me that it was her cage. She moved it around throughout the evening, sometimes saying it was too big and sometimes saying it was too small.
She also started rescuing us (pretending that we needed saving). The other night she said, "Mommy, I'm gonna rescue you!" and so I said, "Help! Save me!" and she ran over and hugged me. Then she ran back to the kitchen and said, "Daddy, I'm gonna rescue you!" and so he said, "Help! Save me!" and she ran over and hugged him. She kept saving us one after the other. It was amusing.
