Rinse and Spit

This week, I've been trying to teach Alisa how to rinse and spit while brushing her teeth. She has trouble though because she usually just swallows all the water and then there's nothing to spit. She does well brushing all the various parts of her mouth but she still often sucks on the toothbrush during the process (the toothpaste is apple and banana flavored). She doesn't quite understand that you aren't supposed to swallow the toothpaste. I think she needs to see me brush my teeth again to see me spit all the toothpaste out (it's been months since she's watched me).

Ever since I put a plastic Hello Kitty cup in her bathroom she has been asking to brush her teeth all throughout the day. Quite a change from not wanting to brush her teeth at all! She loves practicing drinking and spitting. After brushing now, she always wants to wash her hands. She loves to feel the water rush over them and she loves shaking the water from them before drying them on a towel.
