Alisa's First Time to Pee in the Potty!

Alisa took a bath and then at the end said she needed to get out because she needed to pee. We haven't done any potty training since the first attempt 2 weeks ago and her potty, which used to be in the upstairs bathroom, was still downstairs in the living room. I asked Craig to bring her potty upstairs because she didn't want to sit on the big potty. She sat on her potty and peed! She was a little worried when it was coming out (she told us when she was peeing because we couldn't hear it) but I told her to just sit there and try to relax until it was done coming out. Craig gave her a glass of water to drink which help relax her and probably encouraged her to pee more.

After a few minutes she said she was done so I asked her to stand up so I could wipe her. She didn't like that idea but I said she had to be wiped after using the potty. I wiped her quickly and then told her to look in her potty and see the pee. We saw a few ounces so I cheered and cheered and said she gets a treat for peeing in her potty. We called Daddy back upstairs to see that she peed in the potty (since it was the exciting first time) and then I showed her how to empty the bowl of her potty into the big toilet. I asked if she wanted to flush the big potty but she didn't. She watched while I did it. Then she stood on her stool and we washed her hands. She said she wanted a chocolate treat so I gave her 1 Whopper. She loves Whoppers and hasn't had any since Easter.

Tonight I will be washing her training pants (similar to big girl underwear but will soak up more of the pee when she has an accident and she will feel that she is wet--unlike a diaper which soaks it up so well that she feels dry) so we can be ready to potty train tomorrow. We don't have anywhere to be until this weekend so maybe by then she will have minimal accidents. I bought her a doll that pees when squeezed as well as the training pants and they came in 2 weeks ago. I just need to skim over the book about potty training in 1 day again.
