Alisa is playing with imaginary birds right now. She keeps telling Craig and I, "Please don't take my birdie. It's a white one. It's on my hand." She later asked for some cheese and I decided to play along with the bird thing so I asked, "Oh, do you want to share some cheese with your birdie?" She said, "No, Mommy. It's not a real birdie." to which I replied, "Oh, well you could PRETEND to share your cheese with the birdie, if you want."
She sure acted like the birds were real (one time she shouted to Craig, "Daddy! Don't sit there, you will squish the birdies!") but it's nice to know she knows they are just imaginary.
