Happy 3rd Birthday!

Alisa is 3 years old! I've been looking forward to this day for at least a year and a half...ever since all the tags on the toys I'd been looking at in the stores said "ages 3 & up". It seems like Alisa was 2 for longer than a year but that was a good thing. I loved her at age 2. Each year gets better and better, actually.

Unfortunately, my camera started failing last week so I don't have too many good birthday pictures. Sometimes the pictures were fine, but most have lines on them and others were almost totally white and washed out so here are the best I have.....

Here is the easel Daddy picked out for Alisa (one side is a magnetic dry-erase board and the other side is a chalkboard, both sides have clips for paper to hang and 2 trays for supplies):

Pile of presents Mommy picked out:

Opening the first present, Crayola twistable crayons (yay for no more peeling or broken crayons):

One of the many puzzles Alisa got for her birthday:

Traditional Daddy-daughter birthday dance:

Taking the dance outside to see if the camera would take a better picture (and it did!):

Kisses for Daddy:

After Alisa opened her presents and played for awhile, I took her to lunch at Chick-fil-A per her request (it's her most favorite restaurant ever) and then to Party City to buy some party favors and Sam's to buy some food for her birthday party which is on Saturday. For dinner we went to La Rumba Mexican restaurant. Daddy put Alisa to bed and I went to my weekly Knitting Circle at a coffee shop with friends. It was a good day for all of us.
