Alisa frequently says, "It's your birthday, Mommy!" and then she'll bring me one of her toys as a present or sing "Happy Birthday" to me. At first, I'd explain to her that it wasn't really my birthday (I had to make sure she knew what birthdays were all about) but she didn't care so then I'd just play along with her. She then would wrap her toys in paper or blankets so I could open them just like a real present. So sweet! She started doing this shortly after Christmas and then it escalated around Daddy's birthday at the end of March and is still going on as her birthday is coming (tomorrow!).
